Cougar Cash is a prepaid card requiring an initial deposit of $50; the account balance is decreased each time you use it. Cougar Cash is fast, convenient, and provides a discount on meal prices at Cannon Commons. Education Week students may use Cougar Cash for campus food and merchandise purchases through 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, August 26. Cougar Cash is accepted at all locations displaying the Cougar Cash emblem, including but not limited to the following:
Cougar Cash cards are available for purchase during Education Week registration through 5:00 p.m. July 28 and again during the program at the WSC Garden Court. Individuals staying in campus housing may pick up their Cougar Cash cards when checking in at their assigned housing area. Cougar Cash cards are mailed the second week of August to patrons not staying in campus housing.
You may add additional money to your Cougar Cash card at the ID Center in Room 1057 of the Wilkinson Student Center (WSC) or at the Cougar Cash kiosk located in the the Cougar Eat (also in the WSC).
Lost Cards: If you purchase a Cougar Cash card by July 28, it will be associated with your account, and the unused balance on the lost card at the time of replacement can be transferred to a new card. To replace the card and the remaining funds, you must visit the Cannon Center front desk (there is a $2 fee at that time). If you purchase a Cougar Cash card during Education Week, it is NOT associated with your account and cannot be replaced if lost.
NOTE: All accounts are closed at the end of Education Week. Unused balances or unclaimed Cougar Cash cannot be refunded. However, any balance on Education Week Cougar Cash accounts can be transferred to a BYU student's account if done before 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, by visiting the BYU ID Center in 1057 WSC or calling 801-422-3866.
